I have joined @WildAid as a global ambassador to call for us to save elephants from extinction. Join me. Be #ivoryfree. And visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust @dswt to meet adorable orphaned baby elephants with names, histories, personalities and a desire to live out their lives #whenyouknowmoreyoudomore
“I have come to realise that when you know more, you do more. I want to encourage people all over the world to learn more about these incredible animals.”
The 32-year-old Kenyan actress who is best known for her Academy Award winning performance in 12 Years a Slave declared, “I am proud of my Kenyan heritage and part of that heritage is the incredible wildlife haven that is in our care.”
She has visited a national park and elephant orphanage in Kenya, branding the experience as ‘life changing’.
Every African should enlist in the fight against elephant, rhino and any animal poaching. Conserve wildlife. Be #ivoryfree.
