All roads lead to Waldrift tomorrow night as TNT Lounge, the home of Comedy Nights hosts for the first time ever a Poetry and Musical event dubbed Up & Kunning.
The event was organised by seasoned Spoken Word artist Siphiwe Vincent Nxazonke aka Vins, a Vanderbijlpark based poet who has been featured on the blog before and myself Constance. The main objective of the event is to introduce poetry to the Waldrift community and just get a chance for fellow poets to work together.
We will have the opportunity to share the stage with four other gifted artists.
Benjamin Chato, a 28 year old Orange Farm based Poet/ Rap artist. He has released several singles such as ‘Hear Me Cry’, ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Bars on Bars’ just to mention a few. His Rap style is smooth and seductive, he will undoubtedly make you fall in love with Rap/ Poetry.

He became a permanent member of the team just after he finished his Matric in 2006. Thabo left Parys for the Vaal in 2011 and joined the Lekoa FM team in 2014.

Last but not least is Russell Anderson aka The Thought That Did (TTTD). Russell has also performed at various locations but tomorrow he makes his debut performance in the Vaal. Russell’s poetry is quite motivational, just what the doctor prescribed for Waldrift.
Why not take a turn into Waldrift tomorrow night and be taken on a poetic trip by the Up & Kunning. This is an event not to be missed! See you there.
