Ke Nako (It’s time)

By Constance van Niekerk in Vereeniging, S. A
TWO years ago, they promised fireworks then did more than just deliver, they wowed the audience. Such is the manner they do their things these little Sonnies! Though the sun only shines during the day, these little ones shine during the night as well.

Leeto (2015)

Laerskool Sonlandpark, Sonnies this year celebrates its 40-year birthday. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONLANDPARK PRIMARY SCHOOL!)

The school has been shining throughout the years in their academic, sport and cultural activities. To celebrate this milestone with the community, Sonnies are having a concert. This concert I believe is much better than two years ago! The school principal, Mr van der Merwe expressed his optimism on a successful concert as he said that he is proud of the learners and their teachers. ”

“They have all been working very hard, I believe that their hard work will surely pay off. I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday and Thursday,” he said.

Mr van der Merwe, Principal of Laerskool Sonlandpartk

“Twinkle, twinkle little Sonnies! Oh, the wonder that you are!” Is what everyone said two years ago after watching Leeto. This year I have no doubt even better things will be said. Nako surpasses Leeto by far! For these little Sonnies are indeed ‘an island of excellence’.
The concert is not for parents with children at the school only. Anyone is welcome to come and watch, tickets are on sale for R50 per person at the school reception.
This year’s theme is ‘Nako’, meaning ‘Time’. The show was written and directed by Ms Taino and Mr Graaff.

Leeto queues were very long, 2015

Mr Graaff explained what it is all about,
“Nako is a celebration of the 40-year existence of Laerskool Sonlandpark. Time was given to us to educate our youth in various aspects of life. We celebrate by dancing to music, so come and celebrate with us.”

The show commences at 18:30 on the 18th and 19th of October at Laerskool Sonlandpark, that is just two days to go. Leeto was for two evenings only. Both evenings were fully booked and a third evening was inevitable. This is the evidence of how incredible the show was! Nako promises to outdo Leeto. It is much better and that very last act ha! A definite must see! Don’t take my word for it. Do buy your tickets and come with the whole family. Satisfaction is guaranteed. There will be safe parking with security. A tuck-shop will also be open selling some snacks. No alcohol will be allowed on the school premises.
