Today I would like to celebrate one of the strongest women I know, myself! My name is Constance van Niekerk, Connie V. I was born, raised and educated in Zimbabwe. Armed with a Diploma in Education, I arrived in South Africa 13years ago seeking greener pastures. Well, I am still searching for those greener pastures! I am a black, Shona-speaking woman who loves writing. I have written poems, short stories, newspaper articles, a collection of poems I self-published on Amazon and well… blogs. Besides this blog, which is my personal blog, I also write for ZimOnlineNews, Lekoa FM 91.0 and other online sites which include PostOnSunday, Tuck Magazine to mention a few. I guess you get the point… I am a writer.
I’m passionate about the Arts… I enjoy promoting artists especially the unknown. It brings me great pleasure when I introduce upcoming artists to the world. I’ve also performed my poetry on various platforms including radio stations such as Hope FM, Lentswe FM and Lekoa FM.
